It is possible to disable the use of that file by adding Ownerlok=0 to eudora.ini. You can make sure you haven't done that, but I'm guessing that your actual problem may involve using the fast user switching in Windows. That does some odd things that cause problems, and it seems to manage to hide the owner.lok file
